Yeah, saw this piece. "In fact, Hu actually represents none other than the Carter Center,..." The Carter Center has specifically disavowed any connection with him, other than publishing the article. Running down his listed affiliations runs into multiple dead ends. He does exist, since the article kicked off an uproar, and got critiqued - and the critique was not censored by the State. I'm figuring that "Hu Wei" is some sort of spook or something - if I find out his actual affiliation, I'll list it.
