I haven't gotten very far into these videos, but the first guy frames things quite poorly at around 4:15. No, capitalism doesn't bring or even require freedom, but freedom inevitably brings or includes capitalism. If people are free, there is nothing to prevent them from founding a company and soliciting investors in it.
I just started on the second lecture and I'm done. At about 6:45 he condemns originalism by the Supreme Court as self-contradictory because the Constitution doesn't actually say it must be interpreted to mean what it actually says. If it doesn't mean what it say, then it means nothing at all. So I am picking up my books and walking out of this class.
My wife and I met at an Ivy League school. They weren't like this 40 years ago. I'm disgusted with what these universities have become.
